Roller cam for tbi 3501/26/2024 ![]() 474/.510) than your heads and tune will handle. My guess is that the ZZ4, while a really good cam (used a couple of 'em) for appropriate use, just might be a bit more &. 040 over 305 block) with L98 aluminum heads. If I can swap the Vortec/roller '880 longblock over the more the better. My brother needed one and I'm planning to use the other in a 336 (3.75 stroked. At the moment I'm considering a factory Vortec longblock with an improved computer compatible cam, full exhaust and a slight warming over of the TBI or a roller cam conversion in my stock '94 block with the Vortec heads, compu-cam, exhaust, etc. I see very slightly lower pressure with 5W-30 than 10W. I bought two of 'em a few years ago just because they were cheap (for hr cams) at $140 for the pair shipped, off of ebay back when guys were replacing them in Ramjet and HT383 crate motors with stupid thumpy cams. This engine has very strong oil pressure, never shows lower than 30 at idle, and about 45-50 at cruise. this is a roller cam out of a ramjet 350. will it work for me or should i look elsewhere. Haven't used one myself yet, but everything I've read about it (and that is LOTS) makes me think it is something you ought to look in to, if you want good low to mid rpm grunt. I know most for tbi are 112 lsa or more but i have this one. Moderate lift and duration is supposed to wake up the stock 350 and still play nice with your oe heads and tune. For what my 1 cent is worth I think the cam you are looking for is the GM "Ramjet" p/n 14097395 cam. ![]()
